+ Are there any age restrictions for the In-Person Analog Astronautics Missions?
Yes, 18 years and up
+ What are the prerequisites for the In-Person Analog Astronautics Missions?
Prerequisites for Low Fidelity Short Duration Mission
- Must SUCCESSFULLY complete Level 1 Virtual Academy Analog Astronautics Program
- Must participate in at least ONE Remote Mission Support Team (RMST) for a crew mission
Prerequisites for any Higher Fidelity Level Missions
- All participants must SUCCESSFULLY complete each lower level fidelity mission to advance to higher fidelity missions
+ What costs are covered / not covered for the In-Person Analog Astronautics Missions?
Costs covered DURING MISSION DATES are as follows:
- Food
- Accommodation
- Transportation (from a designated approved location)
Costs NOT covered are as follows:
- Airfare to local airport
- Medical and liability insurance
- Medical clearance from primary doctor
- Covid-19 testing
- Food, accommodation, transportation OUTSIDE MISSION DATES
+ What’s the onboarding process for the In-Person Analog Astronautics Missions?
Here are the steps:
- Email a CV or resume, a one page bio, and recent headshot to MMAARSacademy@gmail.com
- Schedule an online interview with the Crew Selection Team
- Participant selects an In-Person Analog Astronautics Mission they qualify for
- Pay a NON-REFUNDABLE initial deposit online*
- Participants will be notified by MMAARS if they qualify to join the mission
If Participant does not qualify to join a mission the deposit will be fully refunded or applied to a qualifying mission at a later date
+ Are the deposits refundable?
All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE if you qualify for a mission; MMAARS will only reassign you to another mission if you are unable to join your original scheduled mission.
+ Is insurance required / available?
Insurance is required at Participant’s own expense

+ Are there any health requirements for in-person missions?
Yes
- Be medically, mentally, and physically fit
- Be able to lift 20 lbs and up
+ Are there Visa / immigration requirements?
MMAARS DOES NOT sponsor any foreign applicant; it is the Participant’s responsibility to obtain required Visa / immigration documents from Participant’s embassy / government prior to entering the USA. If you qualify MMAARS will send you an official invitation letter to support your Visa application.
+ What are the safety protocols taken during COVID-19
Under the Covid-19 challenges MMAARS will implement the following protocols for the In-Person Analog Astronautics Missions
- Every Participant must produce a Covid-19 test result indicating a negative status one week prior to entering the MMAARS mission*
- MMAARS will adhere to all rules and regulations pertaining to Covid-19 protocols mandated by the US government
- All participants will wear Personal Protective Equipment (e.g., face masks, face shields, etc.) during the first 72 hours of the mission to monitor any Covid-19 signs and symptoms;
- ANY CREW MEMBER EXHIBITING SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM THE MISSION
- MMAARS will not be responsible for nor cover the repatriation expenses for Participants removed from the mission due to Covid-19
Participants who test positive will NOT be permitted to join the assigned mission in person, however MMAARS will reassign the Participant to a later mission once a negative result has been obtained
+ Is signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) mandatory?
Yes, the research done during the missions remains the intellectual property of MMAARS, Inc. If you wish to collaborate in researching the subject during MMAARS missions, please contact us at MMAARSacademy@gmail.com and send a brief research proposal.

+ What does the Virtual Academy Analog Astronautics Advanced Program (Level 3) offer?
The program elements are as follows:
- Participants select two tracks from the Virtual Academy Analog Astronautics Specialized Program to attain further expertise and knowledge;
- Participants develop a scientific project that will have the opportunity to be integrated into MMAARS missions;
- Participants compete for prizes and PARTIAL scholarships (i.e. an opportunity to join a MMAARS Low Fidelity Short Duration Mission).

Yes, the minimum age is 10 years old. Students are divided into age groups for the Virtual Academy Analog Astronautics Program:

All participants must successfully complete Level 1 Virtual Academy Program to advance to Level 2 Virtual Academy Program, and complete Level 2 Virtual Academy Program to advance to Level 3 Virtual Academy Program.
